Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society Inc (MOFAS) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation, established as a cooperative arts organization by artists for artists. Based in Marion Township, Marion, Ohio, we solicit, represent and coordinate opportunities for shows, and personal development of established and emerging artistically talented individuals in all styles and media.

Our History
Starting off as a small group of enthusiastic artists in 1989 who met in each others homes,The Mid Ohio Fine Art Society (MOFAS) Incorporated as an Ohio Not for profit Corporation on March 19,1991. It has since acquired and maintained the 501 (c) (3) Federal Designation as a public charitable organization, which means that monetary donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our Board
On July 10,2013 the membership of MOFAS elected a slate of officers. Beginning in August of 2013, and 2014 this board updated the bylaws, developed an annual budget, annual calendar of membership events, established new community venues for our members to perform, show and sell their art and talent.

Activities
Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society Inc has several activities that showcases our members art work and also teaches different art to the children of the community. We are very proud to have many talented teachers in our organization to help teach all kinds of art.
Meetings
MOFAS members meet monthly on the second Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm. Our current meeting place is at the Harding Centre which is located at 267 West Center Street in Marion, Ohio. We sponsor and coordinate monthly Events for members & regional artists either as a collective group or as individuals to perform, hang, display and offer for sale to the public their works of art and performing talent.
Outreach
We offer a growing Youth Outreach program which is provides inexpensive youth art classes, coordinates youth art events and provides opportunities to business partners to sponsor these activities. In 2014 MOFAS received a grant from the Marion Community Foundation and established a shared fine art class project with Boys and Girls Club of Marion County. To date dozens of children have take advantage of these classes with more signing up every six weeks.
